Salad for glowing skin: the recipe

Insalata per una pelle glow: la ricetta

Martina loves adding foods to her daily routine that contribute to her skin's glowing appearance !

One of her favorite recipes is so simple and delicious you'll fall in love with it.
A nutrient-packed recipe featuring salmon, avocado, tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce topped with a light lemon-dill dressing is, well, more than satisfying!

Salmon: Rich in beneficial oils (omega-3) and vitamin E. It helps reduce inflammation and is excellent for brain health and skin elasticity.
Avocado: Healthier fats. Can help keep skin hydrated and protect it from the sun's UV rays.
Tomatoes: Combining healthy fats (from avocados and fish, for example) with carotenoid-rich foods (tomatoes) helps improve carotenoid absorption. Carotenoids can help slow the progression of wrinkles and sun damage.
Iceberg lettuce: I like to think of salad greens, especially lettuce, as crisp water. It's as important to eat your water as it is to drink it! (Especially if you live in a hot or dry climate.) Fresh lettuce helps hydrate you from the inside out.

For the salad:
– 2 heads of fresh iceberg lettuce
– 1 large cucumber
– 1 handful of red/yellow tomatoes
– 1/3 red onion
– 1 large avocado
– smoked or frozen salmon

For the dressing:
– 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
– 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed
– 2 tablespoons fresh dill (finely chopped)
